Serves as the first point of contact for customers disposing of waste and scrap; weighs trucks; calculates payments; checks truck loads; assist with customer needs; take or give payment; and ensures the safety of the customers and employees in the yard.

• Greets and directs customersMaintain accurate records
• Date entry into several computer systemsInstruct drivers to proper tipping area
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, etc
• Count money

Scale Operator will also act as a CSR (customer service rep) who will help answer phones, take orders, direct phone calls, and enter customer, dumpster, and payment information into computer system.
