Position Overview

MB Companies is seeking a Recycling Technician / Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) to support daily recycling and warehouse/yard operations at our Headquarters facility. This role combines hands-on labor with the operation of heavy equipment to safely and efficiently process inbound and outbound materials.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in an active industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Recycling & Warehouse/Yard Operations

• Sort, stage, and process recyclable materials.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers.

• Support baler operations as directed.

Heavy Equipment Operation

• Operate heavy equipment such as material handlers, wheel loaders, forklifts, and excavators (as qualified).

• Perform pre-shift inspections and basic daily equipment checks.

• Report mechanical or safety issues promptly.

Material Flow & Operational Support

• Move materials efficiently

• Support inbound and outbound material coordination.

• Assist supervisors with special projects and operational needs.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

• Wear required PPE at all times.

• Participate in safety meetings and training.

Qualifications & Skills

• Heavy equipment operating experience required for HEO designation including but not limited to material handlers, wheel loaders, excavators, forklift, etc.

• Prior experience in recycling, scrap, construction, demolition, or industrial labor preferred.

• Forklift certification a plus (or ability to obtain).

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn multiple aspects of warehouse/yard operations.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Reliable attendance and team-oriented mindset.
