Account Services Coordinator (ASC)
Summary
Receives, processes, and directs calls from customers acting as the first point of contact to take orders, answer questions, suggest products, resolve conflict, and take payments.
Essential Functions and Duties
Customer Service
- Answers the phone in a timely manner to take orders and/or payments and answer questions about products
- Enter customer, dumpster, and payment information into computer system
- Direct phone calls and inquiries to the correct team member
- Always maintain a professional and courteous manner
- Build sustainable relationships with customers to ensure trust
- Handle complaints by providing solutions and alternatives if possible
- Contact customers to let them know delivery times or if there need to be changes to their order
- Make outbound calls to promote sales
- Monitors orders and info mailboxes
Paperwork
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
- Transfer customer orders from order form to computer system
- Maintain customer databases
- Reconcile landfill weight tickets
Safety
- Following pre-established safety policies and guidelines
- Wearing PPE as required while on facility grounds and conducting work-related business
- Following company rules and federal, state and local laws
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and computer skills with the ability to handle multiple programs and systems. Must be highly organized and able to work well independently and as part of a team. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate effectively and professionally via email and phone. Must be able to successfully multi-task and remain calm when dealing with customers.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. 6-month relevant work experience is preferred.
